Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

The fields of vascular biology and vascular medicine have developed rapidly over the last decade.
In particular, international research has centred on the transfer of basic science findings into effective medical practice.
Two previous European Meetings on Vascular Biology and Medicine, in Nuremberg (1999) and in Ulm (2001), had been extremely successful and provided the first European platform for exchange and discussion that specifically set out to bring together basic scientists and clinicians engaged in transnational research in this field.

In this age of information, interaction between cell biologists, physiologists, pharmacologists, etc and the clinician is essential, if cardiovascular research and ultimately cardiovascular care in Europe is to become the gold standard.

To foster this, a number of European Societies and Associations in the field have agreed on to organize a 3rd European Meeting on Vascular Biology and Medicine to be held in Hamburg from September 28 - 30, 2005.

We encourage you to submit abstracts related to your most recent work prior to June, 6th 2005. More information and the preliminary program will be posted on this homepage when available.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Hamburg.

Yours sincerely,

Ingrid Fleming
Rainer H. Böger
Johannes Waltenberger (President of the Meeting)
